PERLIS: Kangar Post Office

First Day Cancellation of Kangar Post Office, Perlis. The main reason why I visited Kangar Post Office is because this is a joint stamp issue of Malaysia and Thailand and I can go across to Thailand on the same day as Perlis is next to Thailand boundary.

I created these FDC for my own collection at Penang General Post Office. Three major language writing systems in Malay Jawi Arabic Script (although Malay is now usually use Latin alphabets), Chinese script, Tamil script. Enjoy viewing.

KEDAH: Langkawi Post Office

I visited Langkawi Post Office at LADA - Langkawi Development Authority in Kuah Town, Langkawi Island on February 20 and 21, 2017. There are decorative signs of the names of post offices in different languages of other countries.

I visited Sungai Petani Post Office to create these First Day Covers on December 20, 2012.

There are 3 stamps of 90 sen showing older stamps to celebrate 100 years of postal history of Kedah and 1 miniature sheet to celebrate 1250 years of postal service in Kedah when a Siamese (Thailand) stamp was used to send a mail to Penang in 1887. I created these FDC for my own collection at the Sungai Petani Post Office, Kedah.

KEDAH: Kulim Post Office

I drove to Kulim and created these First Day Cover cancellations at Kulim Post Office, Kedah.

This First Day Cancellation cover was sent by Jaque of Kulim, Malaysia.

This last item in 2017 is a preprinted stamped First Day Cover to celebrate the success of Kuala Lupur 2017 ASEAN Games. I was not in Malaysia and so bought this cover later from a stamp dealer for my collection. It is cancelled in Kulim, Kedah.

NEGERI SEMBILAN - Kuala Pilah Post Office

This is my second visit to Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. Visited the Kuala Pilah post office for the first time. There is no First Day Cover cancellation for Kuala Pilah Post Office and so I requested a counter date cancellation.

PENANG: Penang Main Post Office

I created this first day cover for the 150 Years of Straits Settlements - Provisional Issue in September 2017. Penang was part of the Straits Settlements.

First Day Cancellation that I cancelled at Pulau Pinang Main Post Office at Downing Street, George Town, Penang Island with Post Office date cancellation on January 10, 2017.

I created these First Day Covers and self-made envelope cancellations at Penang Main Post Office (PULAU PINANG). Cannot resist green ink cancellation for these green skinned citrus fruits.

I created these FDC for my own collection. The miniature sheet was too large and so I glued on the far right side of it to the FDC envelope allowing it to flip up to reveal the full design of the left hand side of the FDC cover. I cancelled it at Penang Dato Kramat Post Office - my first time to do it at this post office.
