I visited many post offices for the first time in Melaka (Melaka GPO, Jalan Laksamana, Merlimau, Alor Gajah, Masjid Tanah), Johor (Tangkak, Labis, Segamat) and Negeri Sembilan (Gemas, Rompin, Bahau, Kuala Pilah, Johol, Tampin, Rembau, Port Dickson) and created these First Day Covers for my fancy and collection. Malaysia Stamps - Festival Food Series - Malay - June 6, 2017 Issue

For this stamp issue, I went to visit different post offives in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur  and Putrajaya and created first day covers there for my collection. Enjoyed my first visit to Putrajaya Post Office. Visited over 16 post offices to make FDC cancellations, 3 post offices with "Jaya" (Putrajaya, Kelana Jaya, Subang Jaya), 4 university post offices (UM, UPM, UKM, UiTM Shah Alam)  and experimented with 4 color inks.

Malaysia Stamp - 100th Anniversary of Oil Palm Industry - May 18, 2017 Issue

For this oil palm stamp issue, I visited Butterworth Post Office in Penang State and post offices of Taman Ipoh, Batu Gajah, Setiawan, Lumut, Pengkalan TLDM Lumut (Royal Malaysian Navy Lumut Base) and Pangkor in Perak State for my own collection.

Malaysia Stamp - Coronation of 15th King of Malaysia Sultan Muhammad V - April 24, 2017 Issue

For this stamp issue, I travelled to Kelantan State where the new King of Malaysia Sultan Muhammad V who is the Sultan of Kelantan. I  visited all the 6 major post offices (Kota Bharu, Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Pasir Puteh, Tanah Merah, Gua Musang) with pictorial First Day Cover cancellation.

On the way back to Penang, I also visited all the post offices (Kuala Lipis, Raub, Bentong of Pahang state; Rawang of Selangor State; Tanjung Malim and Tapah of Perak State) along the way to get their First Day Cover cancellation and later at Dato Kramat Post Office in Penang State.

For Tumpat post office, the FDC chop did not arrive in time and for Kuala Lipis, there is no FDC cancellation but since Kuala Lipis is a relatively remote town and a former capital of Pahang, I wanted to get a normal post office cancellation.

I created these First Day Covers using official covers as well as school and privately printed covers at Penang Main Office, and 5 other post offices Dato' Kramat, Butterworth, Taman Chai Leng, Bukit Mertajam in Penang State and Parit Buntar in Perak State.
